The Fennville Goose Festival started out as a joke. But today, this festival is a serious display of art.
What started out as a publicity stunt has grown into an annual festival.
Fennville in Allegan County is the focus of our WCSG Travelin’ Together which visits the town for the annual Goose Festival. Starting in 1985, the festival was meant as a way to convince Amtrak to stop in the town on the way to Grand Rapids.
Since then, the festival has grown into a multi-day event that features a 5k run, carnival and even laser tag. You can check out artwork by both adults and young people and later take in a custom antique car show. There will be plenty of food vendors spread out across the festival, giving you space to visit the exhibits as well as several art galleries. Live music will round out both Friday and Saturday evening.
