Winter break will be filled with adventure and excitement at the Air Zoo in Portage.
There's plenty of excitement to keep you warm during Winter Break Family Fun Days at the Air Zoo.
Our WCSG's Travelin' Together takes us to the air and space museum that will provide hours of adventures, games, projects, and even an Olympic tryout (so to speak!)
The fun begins just after Christmas Day with 'Our Tiny World' where you and your family can explore the world hidden from our eyes. Make your own microscope and observe the tiny creatures that live and work in our world, sometimes a little closer to us than we first expected!
On Friday, December 27th, the Air Zoo will take to the skies with homemade rockets, and conduct some cool chemistry as we enter the Winter Wonderlab. Snowy slime and shimmering snowflakes are just part of the exciting exploration that will take place.
If you don't want to wait for midnight, you can celebrate New Year's Eve with the 'Countdown to Noon' on December 31st. Ring in the new year with family and friends with a balloon drop at Noon! Lots of activities for the whole family.
After you sleep in on January 2nd, test your balance and skills with the virtual Snowboard Cross Race. Just after the new year, you can Shred the Pow, Lipslide the rails, and ace the Nolie in a simulated run down the slopes. Knarley! Once you're off the slope, you'll explore the physics behind one of the most exciting thrills in sports - the ski jump.
And finally, on January 3rd you can put on your investigator hat and solve the mystery of the frozen north! Search for clues, piece them together, and break the case wide open. Only the most brilliant and cunning detectives can solve this mystery!
