Mayville, Michigan invites you to "color your world with sunflowers" and they are celebrating with a Sunflower Festival in July.
-The village of Mayville, Michigan is located east of Frankenmuth in Tuscola County and in the thumb area of the state.
This year the festival will be held Thursday through Sunday, July 20-23, 2023.
The sunflowers are blooming and the town is celebrating!
Some of the popular events during the weekend include: garage & flea market sales, inflatable rides, tractor pulls, a car/tractor/motorcycle show, live music, food trucks, and fireworks. There will be vintage baseball games, a 5K run, as well as a basketball tournament. The parade and fireworks will be held Friday night. A number of other events will be featured during the weekend as well.

Those visiting that area of the state can also enjoy outdoor recreational activities like hiking, fishing and swimming. There are state parks nearby and various trails to explore. The city of Frankenmuth is close by, as well as the Birch Run Outlet Mall.
Further into the thumb area are a number of other attractions, including lighthouses and Turnip Rock.
