A different type of trip is the focus of this week’s Travelin’ Together. In Lansing this weekend is the Michigan Chicken Wing Festival.
The festival is a fundraiser for Against All Odds, an organization dedicated to assisting cancer survivors, the homeless, veterans, and others in need.
This organization supports Cancer Survivors with their imminent needs, including groceries, prescription medication co-payment, cell phone bill payment, and transportation to doctor appointments, as well as families in the underserved community, through our free retail store "Lillian's" in the Lansing Mall (old Macy's wing).
The two-day, family-friendly event is a staycation for those wishing to have a fun-filled weekend near home or while visiting the area. Live music, a kids' zone, a VIP tent, food trucks, food vendors, merchant vendors, arts and craft vendors, and more.
Festival organizers do ask one favor – bring your own lawn chair as there is no general seating. For more information such as times and vendors, visit their website at Chicken Fest.
