One of the Upper Peninsula's favorite summer celebrations is Pasty Fest in Calumet.
(CALUMET,MI) - Pasty Fest is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year on Aug. 16-18, 2024.
The festival is dedicated to the iconic Yooper dish and is hosted in historic downtown Calumet.
Last year more than 3,500 pasties were sold during the Pasty Fest and this year it's expected to be even bigger.
The two-day festival will be held in Calumet and features a number of events.
Some highlights :
The Pasty Pull: Tug a truck-load of pasty ingredients down the street for a change to win cash.
Pasty Bake off: Sample some delicious pasties and cast your vote. Sample platters will be available for purchase.
Pasty Eating Competition: Contestants will face off and devour meat pies.
Pasty Fest attendees can enjoy a parade, live music, as wells as children’s activities in downtown Calumet. There will be food, fun, and music. The event will feature a classic car show, carnival games, horseshoe and disc golf tournaments, and flea market.
