One of the area's largest county fairs is held each year in early September. The Allegan County Fair draws thousands of people to visit the animals & exhibits as well as enjoy a variety of entertainment.
The 171st Allegan County Fair, takes place Sept. 8-16, 2023.
The first fair was at the County Court House in 1852 and now it is held at the Allegan Fair Grounds at: 150 Allegan County Fair Drive in Allegan.
The event typically draws thousands of people during the week to take part in various events that include a carnival, animal shows, feature barns and various types of entertainment.
Monday is Children’s Day and will feature a number of specials as well as a parade that kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
The carnival is a large draw and features a number of specials and ride packages throughout the week.
Animals will be on display at various shows, as well as in the barns.
Other events include: harness horse racing, off road demo derby, a demolition derby, rodeo, tractor pull, and a frisbee dog show.

Thursday / September 14 / Veteran’s Day / FREE admission (including parking) for all persons with military confirmation
