Removing Red Tape for Small Businesses

House Bills 5322 and 5323 cut red tape for wholesalers licensed by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) and  make it easier for them to supply identifying information for tax purposes.

"Removing these requirements make it easier for liquor wholesalers to supply information for tax purposes," said Governor Whitmer. "As a result of this package of legislation, these businesses can focus on serving Michiganders, putting Michigan first."

House Bill 4363 extends the period the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has to approve or deny a proposed sale or land exchange of state land from 180 days to 210 days.

"Giving the DNR ample time to make decisions regarding public lands allows them to collect all the necessary information they need to make an informed decision," said Governor Whitmer

Also a law that goes into effect today would drop the state sales taxes on feminine hygiene products.
