A number of Michigan schools will share millions of dollars in state grants for school safety efforts.
-On Tuesday, the state of Michigan announced 150 awards, totaling $10 million in state funding.
The money is coming from the CSSGP, the Competitive School Safety Grant Program.
The money can be used for equipment and technology to improve the safety of students, staff, and school buildings.
In all, safety grants are being awarded to 71 different school districts and ISDs across Michigan and to 40 nonpublic schools.
