It was a rough weekend for many air travelers. Various reasons led to disrupted service.
According to FlightAware, air travel continues to cause frustrations after a weekend of cancellations and delays.
On Sunday alone, more than 5,800 U.S. flights were delayed and 918 were canceled.
This morning, a number of other flights were impacted as well.
Experts say travel was impacted because more people were flying over a federal holiday weekend, there have been staffing shortages, and the ripple effect from bad weather.
Delays will likely continue through the summer months as more people are ready to travel and take a vacation.
