Two pilots ejected from a plane at the Thunder Over Michigan air show.
YPSILANTI, MI - The 25th Thunder Over Michigan, is one of the leading airshows in the nation, and took place at the Willow Run Airport near Ypsilanti.
The show features modern and vintage military planes.
Two pilots ejected from the MiG-23UB fighter plane in mid-air on Sunday afternoon. They were then rescued from Belleville Lake.
The jet then crashed into unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot of the Waverly on the Lake Apartments in Van Buren Township.
The airport reported that there were no injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will conduct the investigation. The NTSB will take the lead in the investigation. The cause of the crash was not known.
