The Republican candidate running to oppose Gov. Whitmer, names a Lt. Governor running mate.
The General Election will take place Tuesday, November 8, is approaching and the candidates that will show up on the ballot continue to campaign.
Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer is hoping to win a second term as Governor and get re-elected.
Her Republican challenger will be Tudor Dixon, who beat out several other Republican candidates in the August Primary Election.
Over the weekend, Dixon announced that her choice for Lt. Governor will be former State Representative Shane Hernandez. Hernandez chaired the House Appropriations Committee and served two terms in the House before running for Congress.
Hernandez is married with two daughters and served two terms in the state House, from 2017 through 2020. He is from the Port Huron area in St. Clair County.
