6/14/21 - Novavax COVID-19 Vaccine

Vaccine maker Novavax says its COVID-19 shot is highly effective against the coronavirus and also protects against variants.

The biotech company based out of Maryland announced their data from a large, late-stage study conducted in the U.S. and Mexico.

Novavax says the study found their vaccine was 90% effective.

They plan to file for emergency use authorization in the U.S. and other countries by September.
